Overview
The Horizon Healthcare Headquarters is a 135,000 square foot, 4-story,
office building located in Albuquerque, NM. It is the home of the
Corporate Headquarters for Horizon Healthcare (now Cimmaron Healthcare)
and serves as the principal communications hub for corporate activities.
The building was designed to handle all of Horizon’s needs,
as well as to serve as an office complex for other tenants.
The work included the complete HVAC systems
with building automation and controls, complete plumbing systems
with a full service kitchen and food service area, and a complete
computer room including the required equipment to maintain
strict environmental conditions.

Details
The HVAC system consisted of three 45,000 CFM roof-mounted, direct/indirect
DX cooling with water cooled condenser, air handling units, with 135
fan powered terminal units with reheat coils. Supplemental cooling to
the computer room was provided by a DX cooling computer room unit with
a remote air-cooled roof mounted condenser. Heating water and domestic
hot water was provided by gas-fired boilers. The building management
system included complete DDC controls. Bathroom facilities were on every
floor in a central core arrangement. There were remote plumbing fixtures
in conference rooms and break rooms. The construction portion of this
project was completed in eight months. |
