Overview
The JCEL Project is a three-story building consisting of office space, computer rooms and a remote central utilities building (CUB). The design of the building incorporates raised floors throughout the majority of the building with interior walls built on the raised floor. This design has posed several challenges for the field personnel in scheduling and coordinating installation of the under floor systems then having to return to an area to rough in the walls built on the raised floor.

Details
The Mechanical System in this 100,000 SF computer and engineering laboratory included two 400 ton chillers, two cooling towers, two boilers, 135 fan powered air terminals, five air handling units, and six batteries of bathrooms.

The site utilities portion of the project included the installation of two-way 5”, eight-way 5”, five-way 4” duct banks, site lighting conduit, new manholes, poured in place pole bases, and pole lights. Installation of these systems included scheduling outages so we could tie in to existing manholes.
