Pinon
Health Center is a federally funded construction project for
the Department of Health
and Human Services, Indian Health Services, Dallas, TX, is located
approximately 270 miles West/Northwest of Albuquerque, “WELL
off the beaten path”, on the Navajo Reservation and will
provide medical services for its residents. This 6,451 gross square
meters structure is one-story with a partial basement. It is one
of many upgrades to the medical facilities for the Navajo Nation
and will replace two smaller existing Pinon Health Stations.
GARDNER ZEMKE
MECHANICAL and ELECTRICAL mobilized and began the initial stages
of construction
for the underground and exterior site work associated with the Pinon
Health Center in early June 2003. The project has an overall completion
time frame of 24-months, and construction is scheduled to complete
by March 2005.
The Mechanical Systems consist of two air cooled
chillers, three heating water boilers, one domestic water boiler,
one pressure
booster
pump, chilled water and heating water pumps, dental air and vacuum
systems, five VAV air handling units, four roof top air handling
units, one computer room unit, 118 VAV boxes with reheat, and exhaust
fans.
The Electrical System consists of a 750kva generator,
fire alarm system, nurse call system, premise wiring system, lightning
protection
system, along with general lighting and power. |
